Draft Pacome dadiet

As last year, last night’s first round of the NBA draft will live long in the memories and in French basketball.

It was a record night, with four players drafted in the first round! But that wasn’t the only record to fall on this memorable evening.

Never has a country (outside the USA) placed two players in the top two places in an NBA draft. What’s more, there has never been a country (outside the USA) with three players in the top 10 of the same draft.

It’s an evening that will live long in the memory, given these records! A look back at the young French players drafted on this night:

Long rumoured to be among the first choices in the draft, Zaccharie Risacher from JL Bourg has been selected as number 1. He will now discover the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.

Also announced as a forward, Alexandre Sarr, who played in Australia this season, is the 2nd pick in this draft. He joins the Washington Wizards and will play with Bilal Coulibaly next season.

Not two but three French players have been selected in the Top 10! Tidjane Salaün, Cholet’s key player this season, was picked sixth and will join the Charlotte Hornets.

Finally Pacôme Dadiet has been selected at the end of the evening as the twenty-fifth choice. After a successful workout, he will be heading to the Knicks next season. Playing for Ratiopharm ULM this season, he has spent time in Paris during his career.

We would also like to congratulate Kyshawn George, a young Swiss player who has played for élan Chalon. Selected in 24th position, he has finally joined the Wizards and will play with Alexandre Sarr for his NBA debut.

Congratulations guys, a new adventure is starting for you! We wish you every success in the years to come.
