Yesterday, an LFB seminar was held in Bourges, providing an opportunity to review the various themes that punctuated the 2023/2024 season and to discuss the challenges and objectives for next season.
The National Basketball Players’ Union attended the event in association with LFB and LF2 clubs, the coaches’ union and the LFB.
A key topic in the development of the women’s league for several years now, this seminar provided an opportunity to look back at the women’s sectoral agreements coming into force for the 2024-2025 season, which represent a real step forward in the development of the women’s sector.
Discussions were ongoing throughout the season, and the LFB was on hand to answer questions about the transition to 14 clubs in LFB and LF2.
Announced more than a month ago, the LFB has signed a partnership agreement with La Boulangère, which becomes the namer of the LFB. As a result, from next season, the top division will become La Boulangère Wonderleague!
The seminar was also an opportunity to discuss the future of the LFB, and in particular the key issues to be addressed from next season.
These include possible developments in training and competition in the LFB, in particular the boulangère Wonder Ligue and LF2 championship systems with a view to a possible switch to 14 teams.
A committed player for several years, the SNB, representing the voice of women players, will be present again next season to take part in the various discussions and contribute to the development of the women’s sector.
